Canongate

Canongate is the largest private club in the area because it is actually made up of 18 clubs. When you join Canongate, you can play all 18. Coweta and Fayette are home to seven of the Canongate clubs: Braelinn, Flat Creek and Planterra Ridge in Peachtree City, White Oak and SummerGrove in Newnan, Whitewater Creek in Fayetteville, and Canongate I in Sharpsburg. All of these clubs offer additional amenities such as tennis, swimming, dining, and an active social calendar for their members. Additionally, members can play any of the other Canongate courses in the Atlanta area and as far away as Hilton Head.

Newnan Country Club

Newnan Country Club is the oldest private club in the area. Founded in 1919, the course still offers a challenging but fair test of a golfer’s ability.

Arbor Springs Golf & Resort

Arbor Springs is one of the hidden treasures of the area. Hilltop views, creekside ravines and ridges make this a beautiful course to enjoy. Because no two holes lie alongside one another, it is easy to feel like you have the course to yourself.

Durham Lakes Golf

& Country Club

Players of all ages and skills can enjoy this gorgeous course that is complemented by views of lakes, streams, and wetlands. To further enhance the experience, the golf carts are equipped with the Ranger Plus global positioning system, so there is no guesswork when it comes to yardages. Durham Lakes Golf & Country Club also offers swimming, tennis and basketball facilities and more.

Lake Spivey Golf Club

Lake Spivey Golf Club is a 27 hole Championship layout. All skill levels can enjoy this course that has wooded roughs, lakes, creeks, and elevation changes. You can plan an outing for four or four hundred, they can take care of both!

The Links Golf Club

The Links Golf Club is an 18 hole course and a par 3 course located on Highway 54 near Clayton County. Even though it is not a long course, a well executed game plan is a must because ponds and moguls are strategically placed throughout the course.

Orchard Hills Golf Club

Orchard Hills Golf Club is consistently ranked as one of the best courses in Georgia and has been awarded four stars in Golf Digest’s ratings of places to play. Consisting of 27 holes, each 9 hole layout has a unique feel. Fast greens, undulating hills and subtle mounding help create the look and feel of a real Scottish links course. With a full service restaurant and an outdoor pavilion that can seat 250, it is a perfect location for a corporate outing or fund raising golf tournament.

Fayetteville Golf Club

Formerly River’s Edge, Fayetteville Golf Club has been re-invigorated with a new vision for the future. A beautiful Bobby Weed Championship layout, it has been a local favorite since opening in 1989.
